Being vegetarian has been an option that rarely generates indifference. If we assume that different sides are those who practice this form of power and who, on the contrary, they see meat as an essential part of diet, might assert that it is obvious and irreconcilable antagonisms most times.
Historically that has been chosen to defy the meat of their daily diet, has done for three reasons as out of respect for religious precepts, believing that it is healthier or because they cannot conceive of animal cruelty. The one, who eats meat, also has three powerful reasons to wield as allege that their consumption was leading in the development of human intelligence, we are omnivores and it is silly to fight against nature or nutrients are not possible with an exclusively vegetarian diet. All arguments have a significant degree of reason and when it comes to our bodies and what we are willing to put into it, any indoctrination is meaningless because eventually there is a win what the body wants to tell us.
The reason to focus on a subject clearly associated with free will is attached to all the changes that present enthralling modernity in which we witness gastronomic currents and with them a new type of vegetarian as one who chooses this option for ecological reasons.
The changes that have occurred due to the population explosion of the last century, in many cases statistically exceed the sum of all the past events where the man has been involved, which inevitably brings it with a heavy burden of distortions and changes forever.
It is hard to deny the virtues of smell and taste of a steaming piece of beef roasted and possibly if you are looking for sustainability, consumption could be achieved without much cruelty. The problem is that not only are many, but we have become carnivores due to compulsive and excessive supply of our greed. We are designing a world in which we allocate 14,000 liters of water for every pound of meat produced, where on average 80% of the global seeds corn, oats and soybeans are intended for animal feed and where it is estimated that gases emitted by feces of this overpopulation of domesticated far exceeds the cars, contributing nothing desirable to increase greenhouse effect. It seems that the problem (from an ecological level) is not the same consumption of animal protein, but in our lack of control, the same that has led Latin America to eat on average 75% of the weight of the dish in animal protein.
Trying for a vegetarian overnight is not an easy decision, especially when culturally it is a lifestyle away from our daily lives. It is a decision that passes first study to ensure an understanding that leads to varied and accurate consumption, to ensure balance of nutrient intake. In short, who decides to be a vegetarian without having been malnourished risks. One thing is to be born in India with 6000 years of experience in vegetaria
